Allergens: Do I have to declare allergens?

ALLERGENES: DO I HAVE TO SPECIFY THEM?

Whether nuts, lactose, gluten or eggs - many foods or individual components of them can trigger allergies or intolerances. According to the European Food Information Regulation (FIR), you as a food processing company are legally obliged to label these allergens. This applies not only to the clear labelling of allergens in the list of ingredients of packaged foods, but also to loose foods and dishes.

It is therefore your responsibility to label these allergens accordingly. Only Meto's system solutions offer you legal certainty with regard to applicable labelling obligations - both with regard to the European FIR and with regard to requirements specifically for the German market.
We are also happy to support you with new legal requirements - as "Retail Label Experts", we have decades of experience in the legally compliant labelling of allergens. Our system solutions enable you to label these substances quickly and efficiently. Well-known system and retail catering companies have been relying on our expertise for many years.
